With music, theater and poetry we give information and tell the culture of wine and cooking, while we sensitize the senses. We make the wine speak and move us.

With over 7 years of experience, La Gastronòmica has been inspired by the world of wine, cooking, health and the sensory world. Our sensitivity towards the territory, culture and sustainability is evident in each of our actions. Each service has a high degree of involvement. Details and interaction with people are the backbone of the experience.

We propose active tourism in the Empordà to the world, without borders, to explain where we come from, what we have (wine, products, landscape…) and who we are. We present daring proposals with high humanistic value. Some examples are: wine pairing with violin and cello, a recital with the poet Josep Pedrals and local wines, tastings of the best Catalan wines, guitar concerts with a previous selection of wines, private chef, daring team building, among others.

We want to explain and convey the territory to locals, newcomers and also all travelers, in an easy, close, educational and fun way.

Jaume Montanyà

He is responsible for the management, creativity, financial proposals and marketing of products and services.

Jaume comes from the world of health. He graduated in Physiotherapy and, at the beginning of his career, he practiced in the heart of Catalonia. He was the founder of  a small medical center that gradually grew to the point of creating and leading  a team of more than 12 professionals dedicated to caring for people for more than 21 years.

Years later he trained as a cook at the prestigious Hofmann School of Hospitality in Barcelona and in the last ten years he has been able to turn his great gastronomic passion into his profession.

Taking care of people is a common denominator. Now from La Gastronòmica he is looking for people to be the center of attention. He has designed special experiences that fill the senses of the participants.

He has an active and proactive character and always seeks to create synergies and suggest innovative proposals.
